The Happy Healthy 6 Week Programme

Here are just a few of the things that we cover in the 6 week Happy Healthy programme. My aim is to give you tools to be able to live more peacefully, more mindfully. Yoga Practice
In the programme we work together to develop a home yoga practice to suit you and your lifestyle. I want to empower you to be able to own and demystify your yoga practice. Through a regular yoga practice we begin to develop more awareness, of our bodies, our thoughts, behaviours, emotions and the world around us. We become more conscious, more awake. We can start to recognise obstacles on the path to where we want to be, and notice our limiting beliefs.

Intention Setting
You will begin the programme by setting an intention to move your energy in the direction that you want to go. Your intention gives you direction but there is no attachment to an end result. 
Often when we want something instead of focussing on the thing that we want we focus on the negative. How we don’t have that thing already. This isn’t going to help us get to where we want to go. We need to let go of that conflict with ourselves, beating ourselves up for not being or having what we want and instead focus our attention on where we want to go, looking forward in a positive direction.
When we are relaxed we can more easily access the subconscious mind where all of our beliefs are created and held. We are then more likely to take the intention on.

Creative Visualisation
We will explore creative visualisation. I will pose some questions to you while you are in a relaxed state and you can allow your mind to be free and see what comes up for you. This is a great opportunity to dream big, imagine your goals bright and colourful, noticing all the detail. The mind does not know the difference between real and imagined experience so holding your vision of your future self as you want to be can be very powerful.

Managing The Stress Response 
Through the breath we can send a powerful message to our nervous system, body, and brain to relax, and to become calm. Stress activates the fight or flight response which is useful if we are being chased but not if we are just nervous because we have to stand up and make a speech. The breath can activate the parasympathetic nervous system – overriding the fight or flight response and signalling to the body and mind to relax.
